Damn spammers...
Thank some jackass spammer and his bot for now having to register to post comments. It's not a difficult process, shouldn't take more than a few seconds. I'm working on banning the spammer, but its hard since his IP has changed 3 times within as many seconds. I do think I can ban him by his user-agent, which is unique among my logs, I've never seen it before.

So...hopefully I'll squash that bot :P
WildTangent tries FreeBSD...
...AND LOVES IT!!! :D
Yup, thats right, I'm giving it a look, and so far, I like what I see. I can't wait to try this on some better hardware, but for now, this old P4 1.6 ghz box will do. Did I mention it keeps up with my Celeron 2.8 ghz? It's true what they say, BSD
is fast. I've configured my install with Gnome, got GDM working after some struggling, and I've begun installing the apps I normally use. Here's a screenshot for you all:

This definately requires further experimentation. I'm certain it will be fun.
New blogging software, but, you won't notice
I've just changed over from Blog: CMS to Nucleus CMS. "How come it looks the same?" I heard you ask, and I will tell. Blog: CMS isn't a blogging software package by itself, it's more like a collection of different content systems. I includes a wiki (Docuwiki), forums (PunBB), an image gallery (name escapes me), and of course, the blog itself, which is none other than Nucleus CMS. Since I don't use the extra features of Blog: CMS, I've ditched it for Nucleus. It will be much lighter on my server database-wise. Anyway...other than my own code-hacks causing problems with the archives, it all seems to be functioning normally.
EDIT: Archive function fixed :)
So...cool stuff about my website
So, godaddy wasn't so bad afterall, so I'd like to share a cool little feature of my blog (and make my first post for February :)). For one...I have 90 subdomains to use, here's a couple examples:
blog.w1ldt4ng3nt.net
cousins.w1ldt4ng3nt.net
Anyway...that's just about the only nifty thing...oh wait, it came with an email address: wildtangent@w1ldt4ng3nt.net.
