Joined a BF2 clan a couple days ago, Spec-Ops. Check em out here.

I was invited into the clan by one of the higher ranking members, and I agreed because I could see that they are dedicated to the game, and they are quite organized. I haven't played any clan to clan scrims, or taken part in a formal practice yet, but I have been playing on two of their four ranked servers, 24/7 Gulf of Oman, and 24/7 Strike at Karkand. I am still trying to find my role in the clan, but I believe I am best suited to special-forces kit. Guess we'll see how this pans out.

I haven't had XGL/Compiz installed on my computer for a while now, and I decided to reinstall it seeing as it's progressed much since the last time I tried it. So here's a couple screenshots showing off the Compiz window border theme I installed, as well as my new applications launcher bar that auto-expands.

...AND IT'S FINALLY HERE! Sorry...got a little excited, but can you blame me? Turns out it's made by MSI, not Leadtek, but no biggie as long as it works...and works it does :D Of all the games I own, only Quake 4 required me to scale back my settings just a bit (4x antialiasing rather than the 8 I would have preferred). I am running all my games at 1600x1200 resolution. I've got Battlefield 2 running smoothly at 80-90 fps with the highest available settings at 1600x1200. Pretty impressive :)

...and I am still using my server. Bullshit? Definitely. So...my graphics card was ordered on a Tuesday, it arrived at my dad's friend's house several days later, at which point he then mailed it here. However...some idiot at the post office must have misread the labels, because it was mailed back to my dad's friend. This was about five days ago. He said he mailed it again, this time express. I still don't have it. I wonder if some customs agent is enjoying his new toy...either that or express is just really slow.

By the way, I never did mention how much I paid for this card of cards. The total came to $450 CAD. Much less than retail in the US, and half of the cost locally.
